SEMINOLE DISTRICT

JEFFERSON FOREST DEF. LIBERTY 25-8, 25-11, 17-25, 25-16.

FOREST -- Behind Lindsey Smith's six kills and six service aces, the Cavaliers (15-2, 8-1) beat Liberty (4-12, 3-7) in four games. Megan Prothero added 22 digs and Brittany McCormick six kills for Jefferson Forest. Hannah Martin had 10 assists, nine digs and three kills for Liberty.

Three Rivers district

Radford def. Eastern Montgomery 25-15, 25-13, 25-21.

ELLISTON -- Radford got 15 digs and five kills from Nikki Tibbs and 18 digs, 12 kills and five blocks from Maryah Sydnor. Eastern Montgomery's Sarah Hinshelwood finished with 11 kills.

Auburn def. Giles 25-4, 25-9, 25-22.

AUBURN -- Haley Shepherd had 15 assists and five aces to lead the Eagles to a sweep of Giles. Jordan Watson had nine kills and five blocks and Holly Sawl had eight digs and three kills for Auburn (12-4).

Glenvar def. Floyd County 25-21, 25-15, 25-19.

FLOYD -- Glenvar (11-4, 5-1) got 11 kills and 18 digs from Julie Hilton and 28 assists and 10 digs from Jessica Owen. Shelby Wynn finished with nine blocks and eight kills.Courtney Smith had 13 digs and two kills for Floyd (7-9, 3-3), which also saw Emily Gruver record five kills.

river ridge district

Christiansburg def. Pulaski County 25-16, 25-21, 25-17.

CHRISTIANSBURG -- Emily Davis had 24 digs and seven kills in the Christiansburg (10-6, 3-3) victory. Emily Quesinberry tallied 22 digs and six kills for Christiansburg, while Lara Mash had three aces and three kills.

Hidden Valley def. Blacksburg 25-16, 25-21, 25-15.

BLACKSBURG -- Sarah Church had 10 kills and two blocks and Samantha Ringer had 14 kills to lead Hidden Valley. Lottie Meadows added 21 assists and Kim McDowell had 13 digs for the Titans (14-1, 5-1). Blacksburg (11-5, 3-3) got 19 kills from Lauren Cusimano and 25 assists from Lindsey Henderson. Lacey McMahan added 16 digs.

Cave Spring def. Salem 25-18, 25-21, 25-20.

With 14 kills, Morgan Shannon helped the Knights (13-3, 6-0) to the district win over Salem. Taylor Baumann added 29 assists, and Jocelyn Kellinger 18 digs for Cave Spring.

Southwest district

Carroll County def. Grundy 25-13, 25-11, 25-7.

GRUNDY -- Lindsey Davidson and Lauren Roper each had six kills to pace Carroll County (16-1, 9-0). Sarah Singleton added four aces and Honesty Rodgers 15 digs.

Marion def. Abingdon 25-16, 23-25, 25-15, 25-23.

Suzy Thompson had 11 kills and four blocks, Morgan Goodbrod had 37 assists, and Miranda Hayden had 11 kills and five digs for Marion (10-7, 7-2). Kaitlin Pruitt had 25 assists for Abingdon. Julie Stepp added nine kills and 11 digs and Kate Bays had eight digs.

mountain empire district

Galax def. Narrows 22-25, 25-15, 25-8, 25-19.

GALAX -- Allison White had 19 kills, three blocks and 10 digs while her sister Jenna totaled 21 assists, 12 service points and three aces to lead Galax (14-4, 7-0). Bailey Shumate tallied 11 kills, 10 service points and five aces and Kelsey Reedy notched 10 digs.

Hogoheegee district

Chilhowie def. Northwood 25-13, 25-27, 26-24, 24-26, 15-13.

CHILHOWIE -- The Warriors (15-2, 7-0) remained undefeated in district play behind a 28-kill, eight-block performance from Krystal Patton. Lindsey Taylor had 35 digs for Chilhowie and Heather Sage eight kills, 12 digs, and five aces. Brandy Sackwitz had 25 digs, 11 aces, and eight kills for Northwood, while Kelsee Smith had 10 kills, 24 assists and 18 digs.

Rural Retreat def. George Wythe 25-18, 25-23, 25-22.

RURAL RETREAT -- Jett Hagy's 10 kills, 15 digs, and seven service aces keyed the Rural Retreat (13-4, 5-2) victory. Laura Stamper had nine kills, six digs, and eight assists, with Jennifer Crockett adding eight blocks and seven digs for the Indians. Jennifer Gregory posted 21 digs and Chelsea Corvin seven kills for George Wythe.

Piedmont District

Magna Vista def. Patrick County 25-18, 25-15, 23-25, 22-25, 17-15.

STUART -- Patrick County (13-5, 4-2) dropped a five-set match to Magna Vista despite 11 kills and 14 blocks from Kylene Culler. Deleigh Barbour had nine kills and five blocks for Patrick County, while Casey Bradshaw registered 30 assists.

Blue Ridge District

Lord Botetourt def. Alleghany 25-21, 25-10, 25-16.

DALEVILLE -- Macey Tyree led Lord Botetourt (15-3, 6-0) with 21 kills and eight digs, Caroline Brown added seven kills, Kristyn Brogan notched six kills, Keegan Brads had 36 assists and Karley Robertson chipped in two kills.

William Byrd def. Northside 25-17, 25-18, 25-22.

Samantha Webster had 12 blocks, 15 kills and six digs as William Byrd swept Northside. Nicole Frey had 13 assists, eight digs and two aces, Candace Brady had 12 assists and 11 digs and Kayla Mabe had five digs for the Terriers.

Western Valley District

Patrick Henry def. George Washington 25-11, 25-9, 25-23.

In the three-set victory, Patrick Henry (10-6, 5-0) had Liz Brailsford record 11 kills, Sarah Miller had eight kills, and Carolyn Brailsford had 25 assists.

Pioneer District

James River def. Parry McCluer 17-25, 25-17, 18-25, 25-15, 15-8.

BUENA VISTA -- Despite getting 12 kills from Haley Camden, Parry McCluer (11-4, 4-2) lost at home to James River. Sara Harmon had five kills for the Fighting Blues. Maribeth Kearn had 21 kills, 17 digs, four aces and two blocks for James River. Taylor Statome had 36 assists, nine digs, two aces and a kill, and Conner Sprinkle had 13 digs, nine aces, one kill and one assist for.

Blue Ridge Conference

Holy Cross def. Roanoke Catholic 25-17, 20-25, 25-16, 25-23.

Aidan Guilfoyle ended the evening with two aces, 10 kills, two blocks and 19 digs but Roanoke Catholic fell to Holy Cross in four games. Ava Perez had 17 assists, three aces, three digs and a kill. Mairin Guilfoyle had eight kills and 15 digs. Amie Scott had three kills and five blocks for the night and Allyson Francis had 10 digs, two aces and a kill.

Nondistrict

Dayspring Christian def. SWVA Home School 25-23, 25-16, 25-22.

BLACKSBURG -- Darrah Dickerson had eight kills, six aces, and four blocks in the Dayspring Christian victory. Brianna Kirker had 8 kills, and Lauren Leslie and Sara Winters eight assists each.

Covington def. Highland 25-12, 25-20, 25-18.

COVINGTON -- Marguerite Ballou had nine aces in the Covington (6-6, 2-4) win. Megan Marshall had six kills, Daylin Tyree 18 assists, and Shanna Woodward five kills for Covington.
