VOLLEYBALL
THREE RIVERS DISTRICT
FLOYD COUNTY DEF. AUBURN 25-21, 11-25, 17-25, 25-14, 15-8.
FLOYD -- The Buffaloes (7-8, 3-2) handed Auburn its first district loss behind eight kills and four blocks from Misty Bryant and eight kills and five service aces from Emily Groover.
Lauren Hollinsworth chipped in nine digs and four kills, while Katie Long had seven kills for Floyd.
Glenvar def. Radford 26-24, 17-25, 19-25, 25-19, 15-12.
Shelby Wynn led Glenvar (10-4, 4-1) to a five-set win over Radford, recording 10 kills, 10 digs, and 10 blocks.
Jessica Owen handed out 39 assists, while Alex Boitnott led the Glenvar defense with 30 digs.
Maryah Sydnor tallied 15 kills, 19 digs, and 11 blocks for Radford (9-4, 3-2), which also saw Haley Dietz finish with 13 kills and 13 digs.
river ridge district
Blacksburg def. Christiansburg 19-25, 25-19, 18-25, 25-21, 15-8.
BLACKSBURG -- The Bruins (11-4, 3-2) rallied from a 2-1 deficit behind 15 kills from Laren Cusimano and 12 kills and five blocks from Katy Kipps.
Lindsey Henderson finished with 42 assists.
Ashton Moran had 28 assists and 15 digs for Christiansburg (9-6, 2-3).
Pulaski County def. Salem 24-26, 25-23, 19-25, 25-21, 15-7.
Pulaski picked up its first district win behind 40 digs from Ashley Burleson.
Madeleine Dick had 22 digs for the Spartans (5-9, 0-5) and Carlye Garst 11 kills.
Cave Spring def. Hidden Valley 18-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-16.
The matchup of district unbeatens went to Cave Spring (12-3, 5-0) behind Morgan Shannon's 19 kills and Taylor Baumann's 38 assists.
Jocelyn Kellinger added 28 digs for the Knights.
Rachel Thomas posted 10 kills for Hidden Valley (13-1, 4-1) and Kim McDow 12 digs.
Samantha Ringer had 14 assists and eight kills.
piedmont district
Patrick County def. Bassett 21-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-19.
STUART -- Kylene Culler led Patrick County (13-4, 4-1) in the district win, posting 17 kills and 10 blocks.
Deleigh Barbour finished with seven kills and five blocks for the Cougars, with Casey Bradshaw adding 35 assists.
western valley district
E.C. Glass def. Liberty 25-17, 25-21, 25-16.
BEDFORD -- Meg Kenny posted 13 kills, eight digs, and five blocks for E.C. Glass (13-2, 8-1) in the win. Hannah Martin finished with seven assists, six kills, and four digs for Liberty (4-11, 3-6), which also got 14 digs from Callie Glover and 10 digs and 10 assists from Kasey Bond.
Patrick Henry def. William Fleming 25-11, 25-10, 25-18.
Sarah Miller and Liz Brailsford each contributed nine kills, Meredith Hale had six aces and Caroline Brailsford totaled 27 assists for Patrick Henry (9-6, 4-0).
Franklin County def. George Washington 25-8, 25-10, 25-13.
ROCKY MOUNT -- Franklin County improved to 3-1 in the district with a straight set victory. Jordan Templin had 11 kills and five digs for the Franklin County, with Ashley Searing adding 11 assists and two blocks.
blue ridge district
Lord Botetourt def. Staunton River 25-17, 25-19, 25-14.
MONETA -- Macey Tyree's 21 kills and Keegan Brads' 32 assists led the Cavaliers (14-3, 5-0) to the district victory.
Katie Hall added six kills and five digs for Lord Botetourt.
Sarah Woodford had 20 assists for Staunton River (7-8, 1-3) and Jordan Merrill eight kills and five digs.
SOUTWEST DISTRICT
Carroll County def. Marion 25-14, 25-21, 25-11.
HILLSVILLE -- Maleah Neely had 15 assists and Dionna Reece had 14 kills as Carroll County swept Marion.
Sarah Singleton had 31 service points and three aces for the Cavaliers (15-1, 8-0).
Suzy Thompson had five kills and five blocks and Morgan Goodbrod had 14 assists for Marion.
blue ridge conference
North Cross def. Roanoke Catholic 25-17, 25-12, 25-16.
Sarah Jessee had 27 assists, Marli Dabareiner notched eight kills, Anna Black had six kills and Gussie Revercomb receorded five blocks for North Cross (14-1, 5-1).
For Roanoke Catholic, Ava Perez had nine assists, five digs, and one kill, Aidan Guilfoyle had two aces, four kills, and eight digs, Mary Weatherman had eight digs and an ace and Mairin Guilfoyle had one ace, four kills and six digs.
HOGOHEEGEE DISTRICT
PH-Glade Spring def. George Wythe 25-18, 21-25, 25-14, 25-22.
WYTHEVILLE -- Despite getting 11 kills from Chelsey Hodge and 14 digs from Julie Compton the Maroons lost. Carla Suthers had 17 assists and six aces for George Wythe.
PIONEER DISTRICT
James River def. Covington 25-13, 28-26, 25-27, 25-15.
COVINGTON -- Maribeth Kern had 10 kills, three aces, and three blocks in the James River (9-6, 2-3) victory. Taylor Statome added 31 assists and Racheal Hepler six kills and two blocks for the Knights.Covington (6-5, 1-4) got 12 assists and four kills from Daylin Tyree and six service aces and four kills from Melissa Carroll.
