High school basketball roundup

BUENA VISTA -- Chris Ware scored 12 of his 16 points in the third quarter for the James River boys, triggering a 22-14 run that broke the game open and helped the Knights to a 61-45 Pioneer District win over host Parry McCluer on Thursday.

Andrew Tucker and Davon Ross each had 14 points for James River.

Shayne Eggleston had 17 points and Josh Woody 12 for the Fighting Blues.
