James beats buzzer to top TitansByrd's James beats buzzer to top Titans

Lauren James hit a 16-foot jump shot as time ran out and William Byrd's girls basketball team beat Hidden Valley 53-51 on Tuesday night.

Hidden Valley had tied the score when Lindsay Divers, who had 10 points, scored off of an offensive rebound with 16 seconds to play. She later blocked a Byrd shot and forced a turnover with 3.2 seconds to play. The Titans tried throw the ball the length of the court and set a winning shot, but instead threw it away, setting up the winner.

Samantha Webster had 16 points to lead Byrd. Brittany Mattox added 15.
