Alleghany defeats Glenvar
Alleghany's Ryan Kessinger scored 20 points, including 14 of his team's 16 points in the fourth quarter, and the Mountaineers defeated Glenvar 48-45 in a nondistrict game on Tuesday night.
Kessinger scored and made a free throw to give Alleghany a 46-43 lead with 15 seconds to go.
Mark Johnson, who had 11 points, sank two free throws to cut the deficit to 46-45 with five seconds to go.
Kessinger made two free throws to extend the lead. Glenvar's Jonathan McGhee missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer. Glenvar was just 10-of-20 from the free-throw line, including 8-of-14 in the fourth quarter.
