Richlands ousts Patrick Co.
RICHLANDS -- John Harris rushed for over 200 yards as usual, but that was no match for the passing of Joel Elswick as he led Richlands to a 41-14 win over Patrick County in the Region IV Division 3 playoffs Friday night.
Harris, who averaged 241.2 rushing yards a game this season and entered the game with 2,412 yards, gained 215 yards on 28 carries. He opened the game with a 61-yard score, but Richlands six times before Harris found the end zone again with his 32nd touchdown of the season.
Elswick completed 18 of 21 passes for 289 yards and four touchdowns, all to different receivers.
