Bears win opener
BASTIAN -- Bland County senior Kyle Kennedy scored on touchdown runs of 19, 10 and 52 yards to lead the Bears to a 33-0 season-opening win over Twin Valley on Friday night in a nondistrict game
Josh Shrader was also a weapon as a running quarterback with two second-quarter scores from 23 and 17 yards out that pushed the halftime lead to 21-0. Sharder was 4-for-9 passing. Korey Kennedy, Kyle's brother, was hobbled by an injured ankle leaving the bulk of the running duties to Kyle.
