GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference has set its bowl lineup for its first season as a 14-team league.

The league announced Monday that it will have eight guaranteed bowl slots and a conditional deal for a ninth bowl.

The league champion will go to the Orange Bowl if it is not in the national title game. If only one ACC team makes a BCS bowl, the next pick belongs to the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

The Russell Athletic Bowl picks next, followed by the Sun, Belk, Music City, Advocare V100 - formerly the Independence - and Military bowls.

The league also has a conditional deal with the Fight Hunger Bowl if either the Pac-12 or BYU can't fulfill its commitment.

Testaverde elected to Hall of Fame

NEW YORK - Heisman Trophy winner Vinny Testaverde of Miami has been selected for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.

Testaverde is one of 12 former players to be picked by the National Football Foundation as part of the latest Hall of Fame class.

The rest of the class, which also will include two coaches, will be announced today.

Testaverde played four seasons for the Hurricanes and won the Heisman as a senior in 1986. He finished his career with 48 touchdown passes and Miami went 23-3 in Testaverde's starts. He went on to become the No. 1 overall pick in the 1987 NFL draft and played 21 seasons in the NFL.

Former Oregon quarterback arrested

HILLSBORO, Ore. - Former Oregon cornerback Cliff Harris was arrested after witnesses reported him fighting with his girlfriend outside a restaurant.

The arrest comes less than a week after the 22-year-old player was cut from the New York Jets following an arrest for alleged marijuana possession.

Police were called to the restaurant. Harris was released Saturday after posting bail and is expected in court today.

Harris, an All-American in 2010, was dismissed from the Ducks in December 2011 after violating team rules.
