Radford University has hired former Highlanders standout Martin Sayer as its women's tennis coach.

He replaces Bruce Harrison, whose contract was not renewed.

Sayer was a four-time Big South player of the year who helped the RU men's team reach the NCAA tournament three times. He won 114 singles matches, an RU career record, and played in the NCAA singles championships four times. He also played in the NCAA doubles championship and played for Hong Kong in the Davis Cup.

Sayer was an assistant women's tennis coach at Virginia Tech last season. He has also served as a Radford men's assistant.
