Defending ODAC champ Washington and Lee was picked fourth in the ODAC coaches preseason poll Friday, but the team finished just four points out of the top spot.
Hampden-Sydney topped the poll with three first-place votes and 42 points. Randolph-Macon was second with three first-place votes and 40 points. Bridgewater was third with one first-place vote and 39 points, followed by W&L with one first-place vote and 38 points.
Emory & Henry was fifth with 22 points, followed by Guilford, Shenandoah and Catholic.
The Generals return quarterback Nick Lombardo but must replace running backs Luke Heinsohn and Brett Murray
