Former quarterback Al Comer and ex-wrestler Adam Britt were among seven people elected to the VMI sports hall of fame.
This year's class will be inducted Sept. 11 and will be honored at a football game the next day.
Comer still holds the VMI single-season mark for passing yards (2,380 in 1986). Britt was the Southern Conference wrestler of the year in 2003.
The rest of the class includes former football players Johnny Garnett and Kenny Reeder, former shortstop David Groseclose, former track standout Ben Judge and ex-tennis coach Don Jamison.
