Virginia Tech has hired Carol Green Robertson to be the coach of the Hokies’ new women’s golf team.
Robertson spent the past two seasons as the coach at Old Dominion.
The Tazewell native played for JMU, winning Colonial Athletic Association player of the year honors in 2003 and 2004. She won the 2006 Virginia State Amateur.
The Tech women’s golf team will debut in the 2015-16 school year.
