Virginia Tech gets commitment from three-star offensive lineman

Virginia Tech added to its offensive line haul for 2014, getting a commitment from three-star guard Billy Ray Mitchell of Paramus, N.J., on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-3, 288-pound Mitchell is the third offensive linemen in the class, joining Eric Gallo of Holland, Pa., and Tyrell Smith of Ramsey, N.J.

The Paramus Catholic product had 11 offers, according to Rivals, most notably from Georgia Tech, N.C. State and Syracuse.

Jeff Grimes and Cornell Brown were Mitchell's primary recruiters. Virginia Tech now has 13 commitments for 2104.
