UVa's Mike Papi has been named the state Division I player of the year by the sports information directors of Virginia colleges, while UVa's Kyle Crockett was chosen pitcher of the year.
UVa's Joe McCarthy was voted freshman of the year.
Crockett and Papi were joined on the all-state first team by Radford's Jeff Kemp; Tech's Chad Pinder, Tyler Horan, Mark Zagunis, Devin Burke and Clark Labitan; and UVa's Reed Gragnani and Nick Howard.
