Mike McGuire, the new women’s basketball coach at Radford University, has hired Blacksburg High School and Virginia Tech graduate Britney Anderson as an assistant coach.

This will be Anderson’s first job as a college coach. She has been a corporate recruiter for M.C. Dean Inc. in Dulles since 2008. But she does have coaching experience in AAU basketball, in high school basketball (as a Potomac Falls assistant) and in middle school basketball (as the part-time head coach at Blacksburg Middle School in the 2007-08 season).

Anderson played for the Hokies from 2003-07, helping Tech make three NCAA tournament appearances. She was the Timesland and Group AA player of the year in 2003, when she helped Blacksburg win a state title.
