Virginia's Brian O'Connor has been named the ACC coach of the year, while UVa outfielder Joe McCarthy was voted the freshman of the year.
The All-ACC first team included four Cavaliers and two Hokies.
O'Connor has steered fifth-ranked UVa to 45 wins, including a league-high 22 ACC wins.
McCarthy is batting .333 with 47 RBIs.
The All-ACC first team included UVa second baseman Reed Gragnani (.310, 48 RBIs); UVa outfielder Mike Papi (ACC-high .408); UVa's Nick Howard (batting .325 and has a 5-4 pitching record), who was chosen for a utility spot; UVa reliever Kyle Crockett (4-1, 10 saves, 1.97 ERA); Tech infielder Chad Pinder (.322, 40 RBIs), who was chosen at third base; and Tech outfielder Tyler Horan (.344, 22 doubles, 11 homers, 50 RBIs).
McCarthy was joined on the second team by UVa's Branden Cogswell (.346).
