FERRUM - Darren Hodges has resigned as head baseball coach at Ferrum College.
Hodges left to pursue other interests, according to a news release from the school.
Hodges was an assistant coach from 1998-2007, then was promoted to head coach, where he led the Panthers to a 100-106 record over six seasons.
Hodges coached 20 all-USA South selections, including USA South player of the year for 2012, Paul Jaglowski.
The school will open a national search for Hodges' replacement, the release said.
