Virginia Tech's Amerigo Contini, a native of Italy who was 16-5 in singles, has been named the ACC men's tennis freshman of the year,
He was joined on the All-ACC team by Virginia's Alex Domijan, Mitchell Frank, Jarmere Jenkins and Mac Styslinger and Tech's Andreas Bjerrehus.

White, Detwiler honored
W&L senior Hayden White has been named both the ODAC player of the year and the ODAC scholar-athlete of the year for the second straight year.
White is 14-2 in singles and 16-4 in doubles. He has a 3.58 GPA.
David Detwiler was chosen the coach of the year after leading No. 23 W&L to its fourth straight ODAC title.
WOMEN'S TENNIS
Meighan, Fainter cited
W&L sophomore Sonja Meighan, who is 10-3 at the No. 1 singles spot, has been named the ODAC player of the year for the second straight year.
Roanoke's Justin Fainter was chosen coach of the year after leading the Maroons to the ODAC final for the first time in school history.
W&L's Patricia Kirkland, who has a 3.69 GPA, was named the scholar-athlete of the year. She is 7-0 in singles and teams with Meighan to form the top-ranked doubles team in the region.
