CHARLOTTESVILLE - Lauren Didlake and Megan Harris each knocked in two runs to lead Virginia to a 7-3 victory over Virginia Tech in softball Monday night.
Tech (31-16, 8-9) led 3-2 before the Cavaliers rallied for three runs in the fifth. Karli Johnson's RBI single tied the game at 3, then Didlake's single to right plated two runs to make it 5-3.
Taylor Willliams was 3-for-4 with two runs for UVa (21-27, 4-17). Marcy Bowdren finished 3-for-4 for the Cavs.
Melanie Mitchell (16-16) notched the win on the slab, spacing six hits and and striking out 11.
Kylie McGoldrick was 2-for-3 for Tech. Bailey Liddle smacked a two-run homer for Tech.

UVa women heading to NCAA tournament
CHARLOTTESVILLE - Virginia was named a No. 5 seed in the NCAA East Regional Championship that will held at the University of Auburn University Golf Course May 9-11.
It marks the ninth consecutive year that Virginia has earned an NCAA bid. UVa joins ACC champion Duke and fellow league members North Carolina, North Carolina State, Wake Forest, Florida State and Miami in the tournament.
The top eight schools from each of the three 24-team regionals sites will advance to the NCAA Championship, which will be held May 21-24 at University of Georgia's Golf Course in Athens, Ga.
