University of Virginia football coach Al Groh announced Thursday that walk-on running back Bryan Lescanec was dismissed from the team for "conduct detrimental to the program."
Charlottesville television station WVIR-Channel 29 reported on its Web site that Lescanec was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with inappropriately touching a female outside a Charlottesville bar.
Lescanec, the Group AA Region 2 offensive player of the year in 2003, had one rushing attempt last season.
