'Noles drop Tar Heels
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Chris Singleton scored 19 points and Florida State hit 11 3-pointers to beat struggling North Carolina (14-14, 3-10 ACC) 77-67 on Wednesday night, handing the defending national champions their latest double-digit loss.
Deividas Dulkys scored 17 and hit five 3s off the bench to help the Seminoles (20-7, 8-5) guarantee themselves at least a break-even record in league play that could be critical for their NCAA tournament chances.
It was Florida State's first win in Chapel Hill since 2000.
Maryland 88, Clemson 79
COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Sean Mosley scored 20 points, Greivis Vasquez had 15 points and 13 assists, and Maryland (20-7, 10-3 ACC) rallied from a 15-point deficit to defeat Clemson (19-8, 7-6). It was the fourth straight victory for the Terrapins, who are 14-1 at home after solidifying their hold on second place in the ACC.
Demontez Stitt led Clemson with 15 points.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Keaton Grant's jumper with 7.7 seconds left lifted No. 3 Purdue after losing star Robbie Hummel to a knee injury in the first half.
JaJaun Johnson led the Boilermakers (24-3, 12-3) to their 10th straight victory to stay in first place in the Big Ten, with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

VILLANOVA, Pa. -- Scottie Reynolds scored 21 points and Antonio Pena had 14 to lead No. 7 Villanova (23-4, 12-3 Big East). The Wildcats snapped their first two-game losing streak in two years. The Wildcats had sunk from No. 2 in The AP poll and from atop the conference standings after dropping games to Connecticut and Pittsburgh.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Evan Turner had 25 points and seven rebounds, David Lighty scored 18 and No. 9 Ohio State (22-7, 12-4 Big Ten) nearly lost a 17-point lead.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Tim Abromaitis scored 17 points, Ben Hansbrough had 15 points and nine rebounds and Notre Dame made 10 3-pointers to beat No. 12 Pittsburgh, ending a five-game winning streak for the Panthers.
The Fighting Irish (18-10, 7-8 Big East), playing a third straight game without Luke Harangody, the nation's No. 2 scorer, buried the Panthers (21-7, 10-5) from the outside.

WACO, Texas -- LaceDarius Dunn had 23 points, including consecutive 3-pointers after Baylor had gone 4½ minutes without a field goal and a pair of late free throws, leading the No. 24 Bears (21-6, 8-5 Big 12) past No. 22 Texas A&M (19-8, 8-5).

Laettner, Thompson among HOF inductees
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Christian Laettner joined UCLA star Sidney Wicks, West Virginia sharpshooter Jerry West and high-flying North Carolina State All-American David Thompson among the eight members of the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame's 2010 class announced on Wednesday.
Roanoke's Dunagan honored by ODAC
Roanoke head coach Susan Dunagan was named ODAC Coach of the Year on Wednesday. Dunagan, in her 29th season at the helm of the Maroons' program, had won the award seven times previously.
The Maroons won the ODAC regular-season title and are currently riding a 14-game winning streak heading into today's conference tournament game against Lynchburg.
Three Maroons, one General make first team
Roanoke's Jordan Gholson, Caitlyn Long and Jaleesa Osborne along with Washington and Lee's Becca Bolton were named to the All-ODAC first team.

Ferrum players gets nods on USA South teams
Kristen Keith and Tonya Wright were named to the All-USA South first team. Tesla Akers was named to the third team.
