Littles leads Cavs' rally

MIAMI -- Lyndra Littles scored 20 points and keyed a second-half spurt that helped Virginia erase a 14-point, first-half deficit and beat Miami 79-68 on Monday night.

Littles, a junior forward from Washington, D.C., had nine rebounds to go with her points and came up big when Virginia (14-5, 3-1 ACC) needed it most.

With several Cavaliers in foul trouble, Miami (8-11, 1-3) controlled the first half behind 10 points from Maurita Reid and six from LaToya Cunningham on the way to a 36-26 lead at intermission.

But Littles hit consecutive 3-pointers to help Virginia open the second half on a 14-4 run and the Cavaliers never looked back.

Reid finished with 20 points for the Hurricanes.
