Virginia Tech announced that former James River pitcher Abbie Rexrode and former Alleghany catcher Hollee Warlitner are both leaving the Virginia Tech softball team.

They will be transferring from Tech after the fall semester and have been granted releases from their scholarships, according to a Tech press release. They will likely be leaving for Division II or III schools, according to the release.

Rexrode is a sophomore and Warlitner is a freshman.
