Younger Peak to play football at Virginia Tech
Pulaski County
linebacker Tahrick Peak made an oral commitment to Virginia Tech on Friday
morning, Cougars' head football coach Jack Turner said.
Peak is the younger
but bigger (6 foot 3, 205 pounds) brother of Cougars' running back Nubian Peak,
who signed with the Hokies in February.
Turner said that
Tahrick Peak also had an offer from Marshall. He was the leading tackler for a Pulaski team that finished 12-1 after losing to Amherst 13-7 in the Group AA
Division 4 state semifinals.
Peak is one of four
juniors to commit to Tech for 2009 and the second from Timesland.
Lexington offensive lineman Caleb Farris committed to the Hokies last
Saturday.
