Marcus Davis, a quarterback from Ocean Lakes in Virginia Beach, has given Virginia Tech its 15th commitment from a player ranked among the top 25 prospects in Virginia by The Roanoke Times.
Davis (6-4, 220) is rated the No. 9 prospect in Virginia by The Roanoke Times and picked the Hokies over Penn State.
Davis was named first-team All-Tidewater after completing 104 of 223 passes for 1,837 yards and 20 touchdowns. He also had 111 rushing attempts for 858 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Davis, the 31st senior to commit to Tech for 2008, has been projected as a wide receiver throughout the recruiting process but may get a look at quarterback. -- Doug Doughty
