Quarterback commits to Virginia Tech
Virginia Tech
has received a football commitment from
quarterback Joseph "Ju-Ju" Clayton of Hermitage High School in
Richmond.
Clayton, rated the No. 33 prospect in Virginia by The Roanoke Times, may delay his entry to Tech until January of 2009, according to Hermitage coach Patrick Kane.
Clayton made the all-Group AAA first team at the utility position following this past season, and was the Richmond metro player of the year.
Clayton completed 153 or 255 passes for 2,117 yards and 24 touchdowns. He was intercepted nine times. He rushed for 274 yards and five touchdowns.
