Pulaski splits pair
BLUEFIELD -- The Pulaski Mariners split a doubleheader with the Bluefield Orioles on Tuesday.
The Mariners won 4-1 in the opening game, which was the completion of Monday's contest that was suspended by rain. Kenta Suda earned the win with four solid innings of relief, while Dwight Britton went 2-for-3 with an RBI double.
In the nightcap, Kipp Schutz went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored as the Orioles earned the split with a 10-2 triumph.
