BLUEFIELD, W.Va. -- Bluefield (6-5) scored three unearned runs in the first inning in a 4-2 Appalachian League victory over Pulaski on Friday night.

After two outs in the first, Bluefield's Michael Planeta reached on an error. Michael Flacco singled and then Joel Polanco belted a home run.

Brandon Haveman doubled, scored a run and had an RBI for the Mariners (2-9).
