LYNCHBURG -- Miles Durham hit a walkoff home run in the 12th inning to lift the Lynchburg Hillcats to a 7-6 victory over the Salem Avalanche on Thursday night.

James Barksdale began the final inning for the Hillcats (8-6) with a bunt single against Salem reliever David Qualben (2-9), who had just entered the game.

Qualben picked off Barksdale at first with Durham batting, but then gave up the one-out home run.

Lynchburg scored three runs in the ninth on a two-out single by Jose De Los Santos and double by Jim Negrych to tie the game at 6-6 against Jason Dominguez, who suffered his sixth blown save.

Jordan Parraz went 4-for-5 with three doubles and scored a run for the Avalanche (4-10). Koby Clemens and Jimmy Van Ostrand had two hits apiece, including a double. Clemens scored two runs and drove in two. Mark Ori and Jhon Florentino also had two hits.

Salem banged out 13 hits, but left 14 baserunners stranded in the game.

The loss was Salem's sixth in its last seven games.
