PULASKI - David Garcia singled home Hunter Lockwood with the eventual game-winning run in the top of the eighth inning to lead the Princeton Rays to a 5-4 win over the Pulaski Mariners at Calfee Park Sunday night.
The Mariners cut a 2-0 deficit in half with an RBI double from Tyler Smith in the first inning to draw within a run and took a 3-2 lead in the second as Ian Miller laced a two-run double to left field.
Princeton re-took the lead 4-3 in the top of the seventh, only to see Pulaski tie it up in the bottom of the inning on Kristian Brito's solo shot.
However, in the top of the eighth, Lockwood tripled with one out to set up the game-winning hit from Garcia.
