DANVILLE - When the Danville Braves struck first Saturday night, the Pulaski Mariners did not need much time to strike back and push the Braves to their fifth straight loss, 5-2, at American Legion Post 325 Field.

Pulaski (28-15) took advantage of a Braves error and a hit batter in a three-run eighth inning. Danville reliever Ryan Gunther overthrew second base on a routine double-play ball and left with the bases loaded and one out, and Dakota Dill hit Jesus Ugueto with the bases loaded. Dill struck out Wilton Martinez before hitting Ugueto.

Gunther (0-2) took the loss.
