PULASKI - Zach Shank reached base on a throwing error to lead off the Pulaski third, and the Mariners ran with it, plating eight runs on their way to a 10-3 win over the Johnson City at Calfee Park on Thursday.
Shank stole second, went to third on a single by Ian Miller and scored on a sacrifice fly by Tyler Smith.
Miller scored on a double by Jeffrey Zimmerman. Wilton Martinez reached on a fielder's choice, but Zimmerman was safe at third on another error.
Luke Guarnaccia singled to bring Zimmerman home, then Joseph DeCarlo bashed a three-run homer.
Jesus Ugueto singled, chasing Cardinals' starter Steven Sabatino.
Franklin Diaz struck out, but Shank and Miller walked to load the bases.
Smith singled to bring in two more runs before the side was retired.
