WILMINGTON, Del. - After doubling to open the bottom of the 11th inning, Justin Trapp scored on a sacrifice fly by Jorge Bonifacio to give Wilmington a 7-6 win over Salem, its third win in the four-game series.
Salem led early, scoring twice in the second inning and three times in the third. Henry Ramos drove in his second run of the day in the fifth inning to put Salem up 6-2.
The Blue Rocks answered with four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning with two outs, highlighted by a two-run double from Daniel Mateo.
Bonifacio singled in Mateo to tie it. The Sox had runners in scoring position in each of the last three innings, but couldn't plate a run.
David Renfroe led Salem with four hits and scored three times. Ramos and Blake Swihart had three hits each for the Red Sox, who stranded 14 runners .
