4 Hokies, 1 Cav on All-ACC team
Four players from Virginia Tech and one from Virginia were named Wednesday to the preseason All-ACC football team by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.
Virginia Tech was the team with the most picks. The Hokies were represented by tight end Greg Boone, offensive guard Sergio Render, defensive end Jason Worilds and safety Kam Chancellor.
UVa was represented by cornerback Ras-I Dowling.
Dowling, Worilds and Render made the postseason All-ACC second team last year.
Georgia Tech running back Jonathan Dwyer was the leading vote-getter on the preseason team with 41 votes from the 44 media members who turned in ballots.
