Iraq's war-crippled oil rigs require power to harvest crude.
And power systems need equipment that can boost or reduce voltage.
These dependent relationships created a role in Iraq's reconstruction for a Roanoke company whose customer was KBR, a subsidiary of giant Halliburton - which has taken a lot of heat about its Iraq-related contracts.
