Monday is the last day Virginia residents can register to vote for the Nov. 4 general election. Applications must be filled out at the Department of Motor Vehicles by 5 p.m. or postmarked by Monday.

Applications are available at the DMV, the county registrar's office, public library and online. Online applications must be printed, filled out and mailed.

Absentee voting

Absentee ballots must be received by Tuesday, Oct. 28. The final day to place your absentee vote in person is Saturday, Nov. 1. Absentee ballots can be picked up wherever voter registration applications are available.
