According to the REALTOR website (www.realtor.org), "The GRI symbol is the mark of a real estate professional who has made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services by securing a strong educational foundation. REALTORS with the GRI designation are highly trained in many areas of real estate to better serve and protect their clients." Shelton specializes in lake, horse and farm property on and around Smith Mountain Lake. During her career with Prudential Waterfront Properties, she has become e-Certified as well as earned both the Resort & Recreation Specialist designation and "Fine Homes Specialist," conferred by Prudential Real Estate Affiliates. With a master's degree from Virginia Tech combined with more than 15 years of sales experience and her knowledge of the area, Shelton has earned the top Diamond Award from RVAR and landed in Prudential's prestigious President's Circle. She lives in Franklin County with her husband, Eddie, and their daughter, Jesse. IN BUSINESS Prudential REALTOR awarded ABR designation Pete Roberts, REALTOR with Prudential Waterfront Properties, received the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) designation. According to the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council website (www.rebac.net), "The ABR designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria established by the Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council (REBAC) of the National Association of REALTORS." Roberts has extensive professional sales experience. Prior to joining Prudential Waterfront Properties, Roberts worked for Eli Lilly and Company for 32 years, working his way from field sales up to national sales manager for group purchasing organizations. The upward mobility necessitated numerous moves that brought the Roberts family to High Point, N.C. Because of the moves, Pete gained an appreciation for the real estate profession, and has had a North Carolina Brokers License for 18 years. Roberts earned a master's degree at the Rochester Institute of Technology, graduating with concentrations in Marketing and Finance. During his career with Prudential Waterfront Properties, Roberts became e-PRO certified and earned "Fine Homes Specialist," conferred by Prudential Real Estate. He also is a member of the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors, Virginia Association of Realtors and National Association Realtors. Roberts and his wife, Donna, have three sons and four grandchildren. |
