Gov. Jim Gilmore appointed two new members to the Virginia Military Institute Board of Visitors and reappointed two others.
The new members, announced Friday, are Darryl K. Horne of Vienna and Donald McLean Wilkinson of New York. Horne is a 1982 VMI graduate and founder of Horne Engineering Services Inc., an environmental engineering company. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve as a captain.
Wilkinson, a 1961 VMI graduate, is chairman of the New York investment advisory firm Wilkinson O'Grady & Co. He was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Air Defense Artillery in the early 1960s.
Ethyl Corp. chief executive officer Bruce Gottwald, a 1954 VMI graduate and current board president, and Arlington attorney Anita Blair were reappointed to the board.
Both have been members since 1995.
Horne and Wilkinson replace Thomas Hudson of Richmond and Robert Crotty of Dallas.
They both asked not to be reappointed.
