Terry Lawrence Plunk
Feb. 23, 1966 - Feb. 26, 1991
From Vinton. Graduated from Virginia Military Institute. Served in the Army as a career. Killed at Al-Salman Air Field in Kuwait while disarming mines. A mine exploded, killing seven Americans. Survived by his mother, Doris; sisters, Teresa Gay and Julie Plunk; nephew, William Roger III. Buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton.
