Republican Bill Cleaveland has been endorsed by the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors in the 17th District state House race.
Cleaveland, a Botetourt County lawyer, is running against Democrat Gwen Mason, a Roanoke city councilwoman.
Todd Wampler, president of the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors, said his group focuses largely on private property rights, transportation and economic development.
"We believe Bill shares the interest of both Realtors and property owners and is well qualified to serve in the House of Delegates," Wampler wrote in a news release.
The association comprises more than 1,600 Realtors and associate members.
