Former President Clinton will visit Roanoke on Sunday to campaign on behalf of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama, according to Obama's campaign team. He is also scheduled to appear Sunday in Richmond.
Clinton will talk about the economy, health care and the war in Iraq.
The appearance is scheduled to start at 6:15 p.m. and will be outside on the Roanoke City Market. Gates will open at 4:45 p.m.
Public entrances will be at the corner of Jefferson Street and Campbell Avenue and at Church Avenue and Market Street.
Tickets are not required for the free event, but attendees are asked to register ahead of time at www.va.barackobama.com.
Signs and banners are not allowed at the appearance, and security personnel have asked guests not to bring bags with them and to limit personal items.
Clinton last appeared in the area in February, at Virginia Tech and at Patrick Henry High School on behalf of his wife, Sen. Hillary Clinton, before the presidential primary. Both appearances drew crowds of about 1,000.
