Remington rifle fix

BILL: As I have told many people over the years, I know of eight instances where Remington Model 700 rifles have unexpectedly discharged. Most of the incidents I know of have happened when the owner was lifting the bolt to unload his gun. I have been standing next to two owners when their guns unexpectedly fired when they were starting to unload. In one instance I was watching the unloading process and can guarantee you there was no finger on the trigger.
While ordering parts for a Remington shotgun, I happened to see a safety modification program on the Remington Web site. The instructions on what to do are pretty clear.
Anyone who owns a Remington 700 ADL or BDL or 600, 660, 721, sp100 or 40-x should click here for more information.
