A great mathematician once said that it is not necessary to make a secret code that cannot be broken. It is only necessary to make one that is so difficult that it takes a very long time.
Our legislatures have awakened to the fact that it is no longer necessary to prevent people of color from voting by law. It is only necessary to make sure that it is so difficult that it takes a very long time.
Our Supreme Court has now affirmed this as the preferred and legal method for re-establishing white supremacy over the whole of the United States. They have done this using the excuse that it is no longer reasonable to pick on the South.
