I live in Fairlawn and drive to Blacksburg and Christiansburg along Peppers Ferry and Prices Fork roads several times a week. I am seeing way too many dead deer along these roads.
People have got to slow down. The speed limit is 45 mph at the highest point. People go way faster, and they obviously aren’t paying enough attention.
Last week, I drove to join my husband for lunch in Blacksburg, and on my way back, I saw a little fawn. He was killed during a bright, sunny lunch hour.
Deer are out and about all day long — even during the sunny middle of the day.
Someone just wasn’t paying attention.
