Re: John Beisley's letter ("Don't burn too much gas - nor too little," Pick of the day) in the March 17 newspaper:
Beisley states he strongly opposes the proposed tax on hybrids.
When we purchased our 2010 hybrid, I looked forward to saving on gasoline purchases. Now, if Gov. Bob McDonnell signs this into law as passed by the General Assembly, I will pay $100 more annually to own the hybrid.
No thanks, Governor. I can do without that.
This proposal is as stupid as the comment McDonnell made when he said it was worth discussing the idea that educators be trained to carry loaded weapons in the schools.
