Jail life on Easy Street

If you break the law, our government claims it will send you to jail or prison. Sure, you’ll be taken away from everyday life and your family for months, years or however long the sentence. But look at it outside the box.

You can get a free school diploma or college certificate, free medical care 24/7, three free meals a day, free shelter.

Ex-Pvt. Bradley Manning, convicted recently, even wants a sex change — and, of course, he’ll get it for free.

Under Obamacare, the uninsured will have to pay a penalty fee. So, if someone doesn’t pay, would he go to jail? Why not? Then he could get free health care and not have to worry about the fees or getting his own policy that has thousands of dollars deductible before anything is covered.

Also, he wouldn’t have to worry about paying student loans for a degree.

Jails also would help him find a job after his sentence is served. And even give him free clothing.

While we go through everyday life working as hard as possible to make a good paycheck, we still struggle to pay to put food on the table. Most can’t afford minimum health care, house mortgages or even the increasing electric bill.

I guess if we go to jail, we can get all these things for free. I didn’t mention, you get free cable in jail, too. What a luxury.
