Singleton's past had no place in report
Re: "Meteorologist injured in crash," Feb. 20 news story:
I do not know Jamey Singleton personally, but my prayers are with him and his family during this difficult time.
But here goes The Roanoke Times again with its negative comments. Why did the newspaper have to print in the article about the violation of a "morals clause" and the drug addiction?
Here is Singleton fighting for his life, and these things have nothing to do with the accident.
The people who know Singleton are aware of this, and my hat's off to him for taking that move forward.
If this were your family member, would you print this? I doubt it.
Pray for Singleton and the others in the accident.

Defending Obama with selective facts
Alan Glick ("Criticism of Obama overlooks the facts," Feb. 21 letter) claims to know the facts but ignores the truth.
President Obama created more debt in three years than Bush did in eight years.
Glick brings up the health care law as a major score, but his own state fought it and won.
Virginia refuses to take part in the health care law, and most people don't want it.
Obama handed out bailouts that provided temporary help, but will cause a worse crash.
Recessions are natural in any economy and enable the economy to find new ways and companies to provide a new direction.
Helping a recession will only be a temporary thing causing a much worse economic crash when companies fall again.
Obama helps illegal immigrants in an already weak economy, when we need to fix ourselves before we help others.
He has divided this nation on gun control and immigration, plus was found guilty by our courts of violating the Constitution with his appointees.
If we broke the law as he did, we would be fired. He should be also.
