When will the attack on the family end?

The systematic infiltration by the homosexual lobby of one institution after another is creating an androgynous culture. The progression went from tolerance to acceptance to normalization, indoctrination and incorporation (backed by the force of law). By natural law and by nature’s God, the latest push for the oxymoronic “gay marriage” is settled. It is wrong.

From a specifically Christian perspective, one must lend weight to what just a small sample of Scripture has to say. In Genesis we have God “taking the rib” of Adam and creating Eve: “A man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife and the two of them become one body” is the plan for marriage and the place of the conjugal union (“sex” in today’s parlance). “The man had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived . . .  .” The phrase “man and his wife” is used countless times to refer to the nuclear family.

Sodom was destroyed. Why? “Sodomy” is the name of homosexual activity. With the great flood, Noah was commanded to populate his ark with animals consisting of “a male and its mate [female].” Why might that be?

In Exodus we have the commandments: “Honor your father and your mother,” and “You [men] shall not covet your neighbor’s [his] wife.” Both refer to husband and wife families. The second also condemns lust.

In the New Testament we have the wedding at Cana (man/woman). We hear from St. Paul in Romans, “God delivered them up in their lusts to unclean practices; they engaged in the mutual degradation of their bodies . . . disgraceful passions. Their women exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural . . . and the men burned with lust for one another. Men did shameful things with men . . . their perversity.” It is worth reading the entire text of these Scripture passages to more fully understand what the Bible states.

Natural law is sort of simple. It takes a male and a female to have children so that life and the species can continue. Men and women are different in nature and complement/complete each other as a team when it comes to making a home and raising children. “Marriage” is the covenant made between man and wife to love each other. The children (fruit of that covenant) they raise in that stable union make up the natural family. This is and has been recognized by all cultures in all times as the building block of society, the family unit that must be protected and promoted by the government for the health of the state.

Keeping front and center the fact that “gay” has morphed, legally, into “sexual orientation,” gay marriage includes any combination of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, asexual and pansexual persons, anything but natural or complementary. It is also sterile, requiring outside help to have a family. This comes in the way of forcing (via law) adoption agencies to place children with gay parents or employing reproductive technologies (sperm and ovum banks, artificial insemination, etc.) and surrogate mothers to achieve the desired results.

Barely scratching the surface of this move toward androgyny, we have in selected and multiplying locations in America:

Adoption agencies being closed, by force of law, for refusing to place children with homosexual couples. The removal of any reference to a “mother” or “father” in textbooks and birth certificates. The indoctrination of very young children in our schools that homosexual couples are the equivalent to the natural family. Transgender people selecting which restroom or locker room they want to use based on their “gender” preference/declaration. The deliberate melding of race discrimination with gender discrimination to confuse the public. The absolute promotion of LGBTQ alternate lifestyles on college/university campuses. The suppression of views, in media and in higher education, contesting full acceptance of the gay agenda. A sitting U.S. president declaring June as LGBT Pride Month. Prisoners demanding sex-change operations paid for by the state. Just a very minor sampling.

The effects of the 1960s sexual revolution continue to change America — fueled by television, music lyrics and celebrities. Sex has no purpose, save pleasure. Sex is everyone’s right. Marriage can be redefined at will. Gender can be redefined into meaninglessness . . . androgyny. When and where will this attack on the family end?
