A Republican gospel

Verily, verily, Republicans say unto Virginians, suffer the millionaires to come unto us, and forbid them not, for of such is our kingdom of cash cows.

Do unto the poor, not as you would have them do unto you, but give unto the rich as you would have them give unto you.

We Republicans practice the Golden Rule: Those with the gold make the rules; those without the rules make the gold.

Blessed are the rich in cash, for they shall be heeded; blessed are the poor in cash, for they shall be ignored.

Blessed are capitalists who crave, for Republicans shall comfort them.

Blessed are the meek, for they have nothing; blessed are the rich, for they shall have everything.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after political influence, for Republicans shall satisfy them.

Blessed are the merciful when they give us money, for we shall return their mercies plentifully.

Blessed are the pure in cash, for they shall see the governor.

Blessed are contributors, for they shall be called friends of the governor.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for the party’s sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Virginia.

It is easier for a rich man to enter public office than for a poor man ever to enter public office.

Let the rich ask what the commonwealth can do for them; let the poor ask what they can do for the rich.

Verily, verily, Republicans say unto you, whatever we do for the richest of them might trickle down to the poorest of you.

Verily, verily, Republicans say unto you, because ye know not the time of our visitation, keep a Rolex at hand.

Ask, and it will be given unto you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it will be opened unto you. Amen.
