Marvin Donald Kirk, 67, of Clendennin Road, Narrows, departed this life Saturday morning, February 1, 2014, at Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. Born in Pearisburg on January 24, 1947, he was a son of the late Hogie Austin and Eula Jane Sadler Kirk. He was retired as a trucker for PBG (Pepsi) and had worked for several years at Federal Mogul. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Joseph D. Kirk and his sister, Frances Maples. Marvin was a 1965 graduate of Narrows High School. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved and devoted wife, Patricia Payne Kirk; his sons, Marvin Donald Kirk Jr., of Narrows, Darren and his wife, Shelia Kirk, of Lindside, W.Va. and Brad and his wife, Jodi Kirk, of Narrows; his daughter, Kim Kirk and Steve Douglas, of Blacksburg; his brother, Harold and his wife, Phyllis Kirk, of Little Creek; his sister, Dorothy Haner, of Gallilpolis, Ohio; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, William Hufford and Nora Payne, of Narrows; his eleven grandchildren and his four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke ,with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Narrows. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be sent by visiting
